Women's Hockey loses 4-2 at Lindenwood

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – RIT senior forward Nicole Ness and first year defensewoman Emma Pickering each scored in Tigers 4-2 loss at Lindenwood, Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Ness scored 8:30 into the first period off assists from sophomore forward Lexi Sung and junior forward Kylie Aquaro.
  • Pickering gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead on her goal at 16:20 of the opening frame from junior defensewoman Kyla Bear and first year forward Addie Alvarez.
  • Lindenwood's Rachel Goff scored a power play goal 54 seconds into the second period to pull the Lions to within a goal, while Molly Henderson tied the game at 2-2 on her goal at 10:30 of the period.
  • Olivia Grabianowski gave Lindenwood a 3-2 lead on her goal 9:49 into the third period.
  • Sarah Davies tallied a power play goal at 15:21 to make it a 4-2 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Lindenwood outshot RIT, 48-32.
  • Sophomore goalie Sophia Bellina tied her career-high making 44 saves for the Tigers
  • RIT went 0-for-2 on the power play and blocked 12 shots.
