Women's Hockey loses 4-0 to Penn State

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore goalie Sophia Bellina made 33 saves in the Tigers 4-0 loss to Penn State, Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Bellina made eight saves in a scoreless first period.
  • Senior forward Lindsay Maloney and junior forward Jordyn Bear each had two shots for the Tigers in the opening frame.
  • Bear had a chance from the slot early in the second period turned aside by Penn State goalie, Josie Bothun.
  • Bellina made 10 saves in a scoreless second period.
  • Penn State's Tessa Janecke scored 9:36 into the third period to give the Nittany Lions the lead.
  • Katelyn Roberts scored a power play goal at 13:58 to make it 2-0, Penn State.
  • Stella Retrum scored at 15:08 and again at 16:55 to make it a 4-0 final.
