Women's Soccer falls to Geneseo, 2-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore Elena Onodera scores one goal as the Tigers lose to Geneseo 2-1, Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Firing away early, junior defender Rachel Marriott took a shot inside the box that was blocked by a Geneseo defender in the sixth minute
  • Two goals in the first 46 minutes from Geneseo's Liv Raucci and Lindsay Wright gave the Knights the early lead 
  • Onodera scored in the 51st minute from the top of the box
  • Senior forward Natalie Faiola took two shots from the center of the box in the 66th minute that were saved by Geneseo's goalkeeper
GAME NOTES
  • Onodera's goal was her second of the season
  • RIT outshot Geneseo 9-8, including three shots on target
  • The Tigers committed 10 fouls during the match
