SELINSGROVE, PA. – The RIT men's track & field team finished fifth at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships. 

The Tigers had 37 points, trailing Rowan (97), Carnegie Mellon (48), Cortland (42), and Rochester (41). 

• Senior Hassan Eissa won the 5,000 with a personal-best time of 14:38.23. 
• Graduate student Matthew Funicelli finished third in the shot put with a program record 16.42m/53'10.5''. He also placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 48.44m/158'11'' and fourth in the hammer with a mark of 57.04m/187'2''.
• The 4x400 team of first-year Ryan Senf, graduate student Otto Wilson, sophomore Matthew Resnick, and junior Justin Jantzi set a program record 3:14.60 as they placed fourth. 
• The 4x800 team of first-year Josh Bedford, sophomore Matt Chaikowsky, sohpomore Joseph Coughlin, and first-year Evan Owens finished fourth with a time of 7:52.51.  
• Chaikowsky finished eighth in the 800 with a personal-best time of 1:53.70.

The result improves upon RIT's 14th place finish last season.
