CANTON, N.Y. – The RIT softball team fell twice at Liberty League-rival St. Lawrence, Friday, falling 10-2 (6 inn.) and 6-1.
GAME 1 – ST. LAWRENCE 10, RIT 2 (6 INN.)
- Senior Alexis Smith finished 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and scored a run while sophomore Maddy Cook knocked an RBI triple in the opener.
- The Saints scored one in the bottom of the first, but RIT took a 2-1 lead in the top of the third. Graduate student Haley Czerwinski hit a one-out single to right and came home on Cook's triple to left center. Smith followed with a double down the left field line to plate Cook.
- St. Lawrence put together a four-run bottom of the inning and scored another in the fourth to build a 6-2 edge before putting the game away with four in the sixth.
GAME 2 – ST LAWRENCE
- Cook led off game-two with a single to centerfield and eventually came home on an RBI groundout by smith.
- The Saints plated three runs in the bottom of the first, but the teams were scoreless until St. Lawrence brought three more across in the bottom of the sixth.

RIT is scheduled to play a Liberty League doubleheader at Clarkson on Saturday (Apr. 22), starting at 1:00 p.m.
