Baseball falls to St. John Fisher, 13-8

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT Tigers lost to St. John Fisher on Wednesday, 13-8, despite a late comeback that included first year Jarin Moses' fifth home run of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Fisher scored the first 11 runs of the game, scoring six in the third, two in the fourth, and three in the fifth to jump ahead to the 11-0 lead.
  • The Tigers got on the board in the top of the seventh with a double by first year third baseman Charlie Slaymaker. Slaymaker would later score on a sacrifice fly by junior shortstop Randy Dodig to make the score 11-2.
  • The Cardinals got back the two runs in the eighth to up their lead to  13-2, including a solo home run by Brian Norsen.
  • The Tigers had a six-run comeback in the ninth that included RBI singles by graduate student first baseman Ian Libby and junior center fielder John Bagley, culminating in a two-out, two-run home run by Moses to make the score 13-8.  The Tigers were unable to score another run, however, and went down in defeat.
