Softball continues spring break trip in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – The RIT softball team continued play at the Tucson Invitational Games, Monday.
 
Wisconsin-La Cross 13, RIT 1 (5 inn.)
  • UW-La Crosse plated five runs in the first two innings and another six in the third to build an 11-0 lead.
  • RIT got one back in the top of the fourth on a two-out RBI single by sophomore Maddy Cook.
  • UWL tacked on two more runs in the bottom half of the inning.
  • Sophomore Lexi Pieri took the loss, allowing six earned runs through two innings. 
Dickinson 6, RIT 0
  • Dickinson plated two runs in the first and another in the second before bringing three across in the third.
  • Junior Elise Guth had the lone hit for the Tigers.
  • First-year Morgan Best took the loss, allowing six earned runs through three innings.
  • Pieri threw four innings of one-hit relief. 
After a day off Tuesday, RIT continues play in Arizona on Wednesday opposite Coe (11:00 AM EST) and Sul Ross State (1:00 PM EST).
