Women's Hockey hits the road to play Lindenwood

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT Women's Hockey team will play at Lindenwood for a pair of College Hockey America games at the Centene Community Ice Center, Friday and Saturday (Feb. 10-11). RIT enters the weekend 2-2-1 in its last five games and are fifth in the CHA standings two points behind Lindenwood.

The Tigers are fifth in the CHA averaging 1.57 goals per game and third allowing 3.18 goals per contest. RIT is 24th in Division I and first in the league averaging 6:32 penalty minutes per game. RIT is second in the CHA averaging 14.57 blocked shots, fourth converting 14.3 percent (11-of-77) of its power play chances and stopped its opponents power play 80.2 (69-of-86) percent of the time.
 
Graduate student forward Amy Dobson leads the Tigers with 12 points on six goals and six assists. Aquaro, junior forward Lindsay Maloney and sophomore forward Athena Vasdani are tied for second on the team with 11 points each. Maloney is third in the league with 257 face-off wins.
 
Sophomore defensewoman Kyla Bear is fourth in the league with 50 blocked shots, while Dobson is seventh with 44, sophomore forward Megan McCormick is eighth with 28 and junior defensewoman Bailey Kehl is ninth with 31 blocks. Sung is seventh in the CHA winning .526 of her face offs.
 
The Tigers are eighth in Division I and first in the CHA with 907 team saves, averaging 32.39 saves per contest. Coe enters the weekend third in the league with a .913 save percentage and a 2.98 goals against average.

Lindenwood enters the weekend fourth in the CHA standings with six points and is 1-4-0 in its last five games. The Lions went 0-2 at No. 12 Penn State last weekend, losing by scores of 5-1 and 6-3. Sophomore forwards Sydney Rarick and Morgan Neitzke each tallied a goal and an assist in Saturday's loss, while senior goalie Natalie Ferenc made 39 saves.
 
Neitzke scored in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Nittany Lions. Senior goalie Julia Maguire made 30 saves.
 
Lindenwood enters the weekend fourth in the CHA averaging 1.77 goals per game and is fifth allowing 4.65 goals per contest. The Lions are fifth in the league converting 6-of-85 (0.71%) on the power play and fifth killing off 67-of-91 (73.6%) of their penalties. Lindenwood is fifth in the league averaging 8:34 penalty minutes per game and winning 41.4 percent of its face-offs.
 
Neitzke leads Lindenwood and is fifth in the league with 29 points. She is third in the league with 17 goals, averaging 0.65 goals per game. Senior forward Rachel Goff is second on the team with 17 points on nine goals and eight assists, while junior forward Chloe Corbin is third with nine points on a goal and eight assists.
 
Ferenc enters the weekend fifth in the CHA with a 4.34 goals against average and an .891 save percentage.
