ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore goalie
Sarah Coe made 37 saves in the Tigers 3-0 loss to Mercyhurst, Saturday.
The Tigers honored first-responders from Rochester Regional Health, Rochester Fire Department and the Rochester Police Department before the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Grace Nellis scored at 8:06 of the first to give the Lakers the lead. Her shot took an odd bounce past Coe and in.
- Sophomore forward Megan McCormick had a shot on target at 9:13 saved by Mercyhurst goalie Ena Nystrom.
- Mercyhurst's Chantal Ste-Croix gave the Lakers a 2-0 lead on her goal at 17:21 of the first.
- Junior forward Lindsay Maloney fired a slap-shot on net early in the second period, while sophomore forward Jordyn Bear had a short-handed chance at 6:23 when she intercepted a break-out pass in the Mercyhurst zone and was able to get a shot on target.
- Sophomore forward Megan McCormick had a chance on her wrist-shot from the slot at 16:17 saved by Nystrom.
- Sydney Pedersen scored at 18:47 of the second to give the Lakers a 3-0 lead.
- Jordyn Bear's wrist-shot at 5:01 of the third just missed the far-post, while junior defensewoman Mia Tsilemos had a shot from the point at 6:06 saved.
- Senior forward Hana Solinger and sophomore defensewoman Kyla Bear broke in 2-ov-1. Solinger fed Bear with a pass and her shot was saved by Nystrom.
GAME NOTES
- Mercyhurst outshot RIT, 40-26.
- The Tigers had 18 blocked shots.
- RIT was 0-for-1 on the power play and stopped Mercyhurst on its lone chance.
