Women's Hockey loses 4-2 at Lindenwood

ST. LOUIS, MO – RIT sophomore forward Athena Vasdani and senior forward Jaymee Nolan each scored in the Tigers 4-2 loss at Lindenwood, Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sophomore goalie Sarah Coe made 17 saves in a scoreless first period.
  • Vasdani scored at 5:21 of the second to give the Tigers the lead. Sophomore forward Megan McCormick and sophomore defensewoman Kyla Bear had the assists.
  • Lindenwood's Morgan Neitzke scored at 9:03 of the second to tie the score at 1-1.
  • Rachel Goff scored at 15:53 of the second and Emma Hoen tallied late in the period to give the Lions a 3-1 lead.
  • Nolan scored at 13:48 of the third to make it a one-goal game. She scored off assists from graduate student forward Amy Dobson and junior forward Lindsay Maloney.
  • Nietzke scored her second of the game with an empty-net goal at 19:42 to make it a 4-2 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Lindenwood outshot RIT, 40-28.
  • Coe made 36 saves for the Tigers
  • The Tigers went 0-for-6 on the power play.
