Women's Hockey loses 3-2 in OT at Lindenwood

ST. LOUIS, MO – RIT sophomore goalie Sarah Coe made 36 saves in the Tigers 3-2 overtime loss at Lindenwood, Saturday.
 
Junior forward Lindsay Maloney and sophomore forward Megan McCormick each scored for the Tigers.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Coe made 12 saves in a scoreless first period.
  • Lindenwood's Meara Ryan tallied a power play goal at 10:13 of the second period to give the Lions the lead.
  • Maloney tied the score on her power play goal at 14:40 of the period to tie the score. Junior defensewoman Mia Tsilemos and senior forward Jaymee Nolan has the assists.
  • Quinn McLaren scored early in the third period to give Lindenwood a 2-1 lead.
  • McCormick scored a power play goal on assists from sophomore defensewoman Kyla Bear and sophomore forward Jordyn Bear 5:00 into the third period.
  • Morgan Nietzke scored the game-winner 56-seconds into overtime from Molly Henderson and Sena Takenka.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Lindenwood outshot RIT, 38-37.
  • RIT went 2-for-5 on the power play.
  • The Tigers blocked 24 shots.
