Women's Hockey loses 8-1 to No. 10 Penn State

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore forward Jordyn Bear scored in the Tigers 7-1 loss to No. 10 Penn State, Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Olivia Wallin scored 1:30 into the game to give the Nittany Lions the lead.
  • Lexi Bedier gave Penn State at 2-0 lead on her goal 3:42 into the opening period.
  • Tessa Janecke scored at 10:27 to give Penn State a 3-0 lead.
  • Bear scored at 17:46 to make it 3-1. Senior forward Hana Solinger fired a shot that Penn State goalie Josie Bothun turned aside. Bear tapped home the rebound for her fourth goal of the season.
  • Sophomore goalie Sarah Coe made 11 saves in the opening period.
  • Alyssa Machado scored 2:59 into the second period to give the Nittany Lions a 4-1 lead.
  • Eleri MacKay made it 5-1 Penn State on her goal at 14:02.
  • McKay tallied her second of the game at 9:26 of the third to make it 6-1, Lyndie Lobdell tallied at 14:21 and Bedier scored her second at 19:46 to make it an 8-1 final.
