Ella Wilson score 14 points apiece as the women's basketball team falls to Franklin & Marshall, 76-56 in the first game of the WPI Holiday Classic, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kaplinski opened up the scoring for the Tigers with a layup, tying the game 2-2 with 9:19 left in the first quarter
- Franklin & Marshall goes on to outscore RIT 18-6, taking a 12 point lead after one quarter of play
- The Tigers go on a 17-8 scoring run, cutting the Diplomats' lead to three with 1:59 left in the half
- Junior guard Hannah Durand makes a driving layup, tying the game at 28 at the 1:20 mark
- Wilson closes the half with a three-pointer, giving RIT a one-point lead after two quarters of play
- Franklin & Marshall regains the lead after Jaclyn Feit scores on three straight possessions, providing the Diplomats with a 36-33 advantage with 7:52 remaining in the third
- Franklin & Marshall takes a 53-42 lead after three quarters of play
- The Diplomats outscore the Tigers 23-14 in the fourth quarter, earning a 20-point victory
