Hannah Durand score 16 points each as the women's basketball team falls to St. John Fisher, 83-60 in their first game of the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Durand opened up scoring on layup, giving the Tigers an early 2-0 lead
- With seven lead changes in the first seven minutes of the game, St. John Fisher would close out the quarter on 9-0 run
- First-year guard Ella Wilson makes a foul line jumper midway through the second quarter, cutting the Cardinals lead to two
- With 3:02 left in the second quarter, sophomore guard Erin DiPaola makes a three pointer, tying the game on a Tigers' 7-0 run
- Waite sinks two free throws, giving the Tigers a 31-29 lead with two minutes left in the first half
- RIT ended the first half on 11-6 run, but St. John Fisher takes a 35-33 lead going into halftime
- The Cardinals remained in the lead for the duration of the third quarter and went up by as much as 15 points
- St. John Fisher outscored RIT 25-13 in fourth
GAME NOTES
- The Tigers shot 22-of-66 (33.3%) from the floor, including 7-of-22 (31.8%) from behind the arc
- St. John Fisher had 22 points off of turnovers, compared to RIT's 12
- Durand was 7-of-13 (53.8%) from the floor
