Women's Hockey loses 3-0 to No. 4 Minnesota

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior goalie Sarah Coe made 38 saves in the Tigers' 3-0 loss to No. 4 Minnesota, Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Minnesota's Abby Murphy scored a power play goal at 19:59 of the first to give the Golden Gophers the lead.
  • RIT fired eight shots on net in the opening period, including five on target.
  • Murphy scored her second of the game at 4:59 of the second, while Madeline Wethington scored at 7:14 to make it 3-0.
  • Junior Jordyn Bear had a shot off a Minnesota turnover deep inside it zone midway through the period, while senior Lindsay Maloney and junior Jessie Burks had shots while the Tigers were on a 5-on-3 power play.
  • Maloney had a chance at 5:40 of the third period from in close turned aside by Vetter.
  • Burks had a shot from the slot at 8:22 saved by Vetter.

  • Minnesota outshot RIT, 41-17
  • The Tigers won 19 face offs and went 0-for-4 on the power play
