Women’s Hockey beats Lindenwood, 6-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore forward Jaidan Fahrny tallied a career-high two goals to lead the Tigers to a 6-2 win over Lindenwood, Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Junior Kylie Aquaro scored 2:41 into the opening period to give RIT the lead.
  • Senior Nicole Ness tallied a power play goal 15 seconds into the second period to give the Tigers a two-goal advantage.
  • Fahrny scored her first goal of the game at 5:45 of the second, and junior Addie Carr scored her first of the season at 9:05 of the third to increase RIT's lead to 4-0.
  • Lindenwood's Sydney Rarick scored at 10:08 of the third to cut the Tigers' lead to 4-1.
  • Fahrny scored her second of the game at 10:26 of the third from Carr and Alvarez to give RIT a 5-1 lead.
  • Molly Henderson tallied a power play goal at 15:25, and senior Lindsay Maloney scored at 19:35 to make it a 6-2 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT outshot Lindenwood, 36-32
  • Sophomore Sophia Bellina made 30 saves for the Tigers
  • Carr had a career-high two points, while Alvarez' three assists is a season-high
  • RIT went 1-for-5 with the extra skater
