Women's Hockey loses 2-1 at No. 11 St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Nicole Ness scored in the Tigers 2-1 loss at No. 11 St. Lawrence, Thursday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Suyeon Eom poked in a rebound off a shot from Rachel Bjorgan at 9:59 of the first period to give St. Lawrence the lead, and Abby Hustler scored at 14:45 to give the Saints a 2-0 lead.
  • Junior goalie Sarah Coe made 12 saves in a scoreless second period.
  • Ness scored at 10:59 of the third period to cut the deficit to 2-1. The puck bounced off the back boards to Ness in the slot who fired a shot past St. Lawrence goalie, Emma-Sofie Nordstrom for her second goal of the season.  
 
GAME NOTES
  • St. Lawrence outshot RIT, 39-19
  • RIT held the Saints scoreless on four power play chances
