Honoring 2011-12 National Championship Team
RIT will induct the 2011-12 national championship team into the RIT Athletics Hall of Fame this weekend during Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend. RIT finished with a 28-1-1 record punctuated by a 4-1 victory over Norwich in the NCAA Division III Championship game. Celeste Brown scored 1:23 into the third period to ignite a three-goal run to lead the Tigers to their first national title in program history. Sophomore goaltender
Laura Chamberlain was named NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player after making 27 saves in the title game.

Weekend Recap (RIT vs No. 4 Minnesota)
RIT lost a pair of non-conference games to No. 4 Minnesota by scores of 3-0 and 5-1, last weekend at the Gene Polisseni Center.Â

Sarah Coe made 38 saves in Friday's 3-0 loss. RIT held Minnesota scoreless in the third, firing 12 shots on net in the frame.

Coe is third in the CHA with a 2.32 goals against average, second with a .932 save percentage and is fifth, averaging 32.80 saves per game.

Union swept a pair of non-conference games against Holy Cross by scores of 3-2 and 4-3, last weekend. Sophomore forward
Riley Walsh recorded a hat-trick, including the game-winner 3:49 into overtime in Friday's 3-2 come-from-behind win. First year defensewoman

Union enters the weekend averaging 2.5 goals per game, while allowing 3.3 per contest. The Garnet Chargers are 5-of-25 with the extra skater and have killed off 22-of-27 penalties.

RIT is 12-10-4 all time against Union. The Garnet Chargers swept a pair of games in Schenectady last season by scored of 3-2 (OT) and 2-1. McCormick tied the game at 2-2 on her goal with eight seconds remaining in regulation, while Walsh scored the game-winner 4:01 into overtime.
