Women's Hockey loses 5-1 at St. Thomas

SAINT PAUL, MINN – RIT junior forward Emma Roland scored a goal in the Tigers 5-1 loss at St. Thomas, Friday.
 
Junior goalie Sarah Coe made 29 saves while sophomore forwards Jordyn Bear and Kylie Aqaro each had an assist.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Lauren Stenslie scored off an assist from Kate Haug at 9:50 of the first period to give St. Thomas the lead.
  • Junior goalie Sarah Coe made 12 stops for the Tigers in the opening period.
  • Gabby Billing gave the Tommies a 2-0 lead on her short-handed goal at 10:19 of the second period.
  • Junior forward Emma Roland scored a power play goal at 11:12 of the second off assists from sophomore forwards Jordyn Bear and Kylie Aquaro to make it 2-1.
  • Billing, Clough and Allie Monrean all scored in a three-goal third period for the Tommie to make it a 5-1 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • St. Thomas outshot RIT 37-19.
  • The Tigers were 1-for-4 on the power play and blocked eight shots.
