Sam Halligan scored a goal and added an assist, while senior
Madison Corso scored to lead the RIT (3-0) women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over No. 25 Geneseo (1-2), Wednesday.
How it Happened
- Corso gave RIT a 1-0 lead on her first goal of the season in the 67th minute.
- Halligan fired a shot from 18-yards out that Geneseo goalie Angel Bennett parried.
- Corso was in front to tap home the rebound.
- Halligan tallied her first collegiate goal in the 68th minute off a pass from senior Christine Cataldo-Smith.
- Cataldo-Smith chipped a pass that Halligan ran onto, slamming a shot into the corner.
- RIT's defense allowed two total shots and none in the second half.

- RIT outshot Geneseo 19-2.
- The Tigers had four corner kicks, while Geneseo finished with three.
- Senior Darcie Jones improved to 3-0 on the season with her first shut-out.
