Women's Soccer shuts out Kenyon 2-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior Maddy Bullis and junior Jessica Gomez each scored, to lead the RIT (2-0) women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Kenyon (0-1-1), Saturday.
 
How it Happened
  • RIT took a 1-0 lead on Bullis' goal in the 47th minute. Sophomore Sam Halligan sent a ball into the Kenyon penalty area off a free kick. Bullis gathered and fired for her first goal of the season.
  • Gomez gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead on her first goal of the season in the 48th minute, scoring off a miscue by Kenyon goalkeeper, Gabi Pesticci.
  • Senior goalkeeper Darcie Jones stopped all three shots she faced in the second half.
 
Game Notes
  • RIT outshot Kenyon 18-8.
  • The Tigers had seven corner kicks, while Kenyon finished with two.
  • Jones made finished with three saves for RIT, to improve to 2-0.
  • Pesticci took the loss for Kenyon, making a save, while Leah Anderson made one stop in relief.
