Men's Soccer shuts out Houghton, 4-0

ROCHESTER, NY – RIT sophomore forward Jaden Winall Longdon tallied a goal and had two assists to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 win over Houghton, Tuesday.
 
Sophomore midfielder Carlos Cardona and senior midfielder Randy Dickersbach each scored a goal and added an assist. Senior midfielder Jonathan Cohen scored a goal, while first-year midfielder Tate Pottle notched his first collegiate goal.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Cohen scored his third goal of the season in the 20th minute. Senior forward Joshua Price sent a long pass into the Houghton box that Cohen headed into the corner.
  • Longdon converted a penalty kick in the 22nd minute to give the Tigers a two-goal lead.
  • Dickersbach tallied his second goal of the season in the 48th minute off assists from Longdon and Cardona.
  • Cardona scored on a well-placed shot in the 60th minute off a pass from Longdon to make it a 4-0 final.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT outshot Houghton 17-8, including eight shots on net.
  • Longdon tied his career-high for points in a game
  • The Tigers took eight corner kicks.
  • Sophomore goalie Jason Trapp earned the win in net for the Tigers.
