ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on the second day of the RIT Invitational, Saturday. The Tigers earned a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-22) victory over Penn State-Behrend after falling to Geneseo, 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 15-25, 25-19) earlier in the day.
RIT 3, PENN STATE-BEHREND 0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-22)
- Sophomore outside hitter Samantha Cox logged a team-high 11 kills along with a .375 hitting percentage.
- Graduate student middle blocker Calista Gasper logged six kills on seven swings (.714 H%) while totaling five blocks (four assisted).
- Junior setter Sydney Neff was credited with 24 assists, three service aces and five digs.
GENESEO 3, RIT 1 (25-21, 25-23, 15-25, 25-19)
- Cox tied her career-high with 16 kills while picking up a personal-best 20 digs for her first career double-double.
- Sophomore outside hitter Liv Benard added 13 kills and 12 digs for her second double-double of the season.
- Neff compiled 40 assists and 11 digs for her first double-double of the season.
