Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer downs Brockport, 3-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Madison Corso tallied her second goal of the season to lead the women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over Brockport, Saturday.

First-year forward Elena Onodera scored her first collegiate goal, and sophomore forward Emma Schock tallied her first goal of the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Corso opened the scoring in the 50th minute on a pass from senior forward Christine Cataldo-Smith. Sophomore forward Sam Halligan chipped a pass over the Brockport defense to Cataldo-Smith who found Corso for the goal.
  • Onodera scored into the corner on a long pass from senior midfielder Maddy Bullis in the 72nd minute.
  • Schock found the net 10 minutes later off assists from sophomore forward Olivia Harris and junior forward Teresa Avino.

GAME NOTES
  • RIT is off to its best start since starting 5-0 in 2010.
  • RIT outshot Brockport 12-2, including eight shots on target.
  • Senior goalkeeper Darcie Jones made one save to notch her fourth shutout of the season. First-year goalkeeper Emily Sanchez made one save over the final nine minutes in her first collegiate appearance.

RIT is scheduled to begin Liberty League play on Wednesday (Sept. 21) at No. 6 William Smith at 4:30 p.m.
