Men's Soccer ties No. 7 Rochester 1-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Junior Daniel Gebura tied the game on his goal in the 53rd minute to help the RIT men's soccer team to a 1-1 tie against No. 7 Rochester, Tuesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Kol Bassuk gave Rochester a 1-0 lead on his goal in the 36th minute, heading a shot into the net off a corner kick from Andrew Moglianesi
  • RIT equalized in the 53rd minute when Gebura tapped home a shot off a corner kick from senior Jonathan Cohen. Sophomore David Merriman had an assist on the play.
  • Sophomore Jaden Winall Longdon had a chance with 12:53 to play, winning a 50-50 ball that squirted towards the Rochester net and was saved off the line by a Yellowjackets defender.
  • Longdon had a shot whistle past the post in the 90th minute.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Shots were 11-3 in favor of Rochester. The Tigers fired three shots on net to four for the Yellowjackets.
  • Each team finished with two corner kicks.
  • Sophomore goalie Jason Trapp made three saves in net for RIT, while Santino Lupica-Tondo made two stops in net for Rochester.
