ROCHESTER, N. Y. - The RIT men's tennis team beat visiting Daemen, 7-2, in non-conference action at the Midtown Athletic Club, Sunday.

Carter Casimir won 8-4 over Phillip Vance and Zachary LaPlante. The Wildcats tied the match with a win at first doubles when senior
Jake Wolicki and graduate student
Jacob Meyerson fell to Luis de Vuyst and Sam Greco, 8-3. Freshmen
Christian Berko and
Grahith Movva gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead at third doubles over Jayven Williamson and Jack Paute Urdiales, 8-0.
In singles play, Daemen tied the match at 2-2 after Berko fell to de Vuyst, 7-6, 6-2 in first singles. The Tigers took the next five matches for the win that started with Movva's second singles win over LaPlante, 4-6, 6-2, 19-6.
Pho gave RIT a 4-2 lead at fourth singles with a 6-3, 4-6, 10-2 win over Greco. Wolicki defeated Vance, 6-2, 3-6, 10-8, in third singles, followed by a pair of 6-0 set wins by sophomore
Ethan Martin over Urdiales in sixth singles. Freshman
Max Chang closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Williamson in fifth singles.
Men's Tennis next hosts Oneonta on Tuesday, April 5 at 4 p.m. at the Gordon Field House in non-conference action.
