ALFRED, N.Y. – The RIT softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Alfred, Thursday, falling, 4-1 and 7-0.
GAME 1 – ALFRED 4, RIT 1
- Alfred scored two runs in the third and another in the fourth to build a 3-0 lead.
- The Saxons plated another in the sixth for a 4-0 lead before RIT broke through for a run in the top of the seventh on a two-out, bases-loaded single down the right field line by junior Alexis Smith.
GAME 2 – ALFRED 7, RIT 0
- Alfred broke open a scoreless game with a three-run fourth, before adding a run in the fifth and three more in the sixth.

RIT hits the road for back-to-back Liberty League doubleheaders, taking on Ithaca (2:30/4:30PM) and Skidmore (1/3PM) on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
