ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT softball team split a Liberty League doubleheader opposite visiting St. Lawrence, Sunday. The Tigers won the opener, 3-0, before falling, 6-4, in game-two.

Jill Vorreiter were celebrated during a Senior Day ceremony between games.
GAME 1 – RIT 3, ST. LAWRENCE 0
- First-year Crystal Madore scattered six hits while striking out three to earn the complete game shutout.
- First-year Erin Ozminkowski finished 3-for-3 with a run scored and knocked a second-inning RBI single to open the scoring.
- RIT plated a run in the fifth on a Vorreiter RBI single and another in the sixth on a RBI ground out by senior outfielder Haley Czerwinski.
GAME 2 – ST. LAWRENCE 6, RIT 4
- Vorreiter finished 2-for-3 with two RBI while Ozminkowski went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the game-two setback.
- RIT built a 3-0 lead through three innings. Trumble knocked a two-out triple in the bottom of the first and came home on a double by senior Alexis Smith. Vorreiter followed with an RBI single to bring home Smith.
- In the third, Smith hit a one-out triple and came home on a Vorreiter sacrifice fly.
- St. Lawrence rebounded with three runs in the fourth, including a two-run homerun by Cora Ferguson.
- The Saint brought three more runs around in the fifth on a three-run homerun by Lauryn Best.
- RIT got one back in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Ozminkowski.
- Tiger first-year Lexi Pieri took the loss, yielding six runs on five hits. Madore threw two innings of scoreless, one-hit relief.

RIT is scheduled to host Nazareth on Tuesday (Apr. 26) in a 3:00 p.m. non-league doubleheader.
