Baseball falls to Union, 6-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT baseball team fell to visiting Union, 6-0, in Liberty League play, Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Union took a 5-0 first inning lead highlighted by a three-run home run by Colby Nash.
  • The Dutchmen added a run in the fourth inning for a 6-0 lead after Jono Santos' single scored Ryan Cowles.
GAME NOTES
  • Sophomore starting pitcher John Arnold took the loss after allowing nine hits, six runs and two walks with five strikeouts in four innings of work.
  • Senior pitcher Matt Vitro allowed three hits, no runs and one walk with three strikeouts in four innings in relief.
  • Junior pitcher Peter Bossinas finished the game for the Tigers allowing one hit and one walk with one strikeout in one inning.
  • Freshmen centerfielder Sam Kulp and second baseman Christopher Colella accounted for RIT's hits.
