McKenna Joint scored four goals in the Tigers 16-8 loss to Skidmore (4-10, 4-5 Liberty League), Saturday. Senior
Steph Darrell recorded her 100th career point.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Skidmore led 3-1 after the first quarter on goals from Camille Pontone, Gabriella Modesti and Emma Sellers
- Senior Colette Rigas converted a free position attempt with 4:33 to play in the opening quarter that cut the Skidmore lead to 2-1
- Skidmore outscored RIT 6-2 in the second quarter and led 9-3 at halftime
- Junior Baylee West and Joint each scored for RIT in the second stanza
- Darrell tallied her 100th career point with the assist on West's goal
- Joint scored her third goal of the game with 11:55 to play in the third quarter that cut the Thoroughbreds lead to 10-4
- Skidmore ran off three straight goals, taking a 13-4 lead on Modesti's free position goal with 6:03 to play
- Joint and Rigas each scored late in the third quarter, cutting the Skidmore lead to 13-6 on Rigas' goal
- Joint and Savage scored for RIT, while Elizabeth Walsh and Maeve McKinley tallied for the Thoroughbreds in the fourth quarter to make it a 16-8 final
