ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT softball team lost two games to visiting Buffalo State, 14-11 (10 inn.) and 6-1, Wednesday.
GAME 1 – BUFFALO STATE 14, RIT 11 (10 INN.)
- RIT made up a 9-1 deficit with three runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh to force extra innings before Buffalo State broke through with a four-run 10th to earn the victory.
- RIT senior Hannah Trumble finished 3-for-6 with two runs scored and four RBI.
- First-year Lillian Rienstra ended up 3-for-6 with a double, a run scored and two RBI.
GAME 2 – BUFFALO STATE 6, RIT 1
- Buffalo State plated two in the first inning and three more in third while limiting RIT to three hits.
- Trumble led off the bottom of the third with a triple and came home on a failed pickoff attempt after a bad throw by the Bengals catcher with two outs.

RIT hosts back-to-back Liberty League doubleheaders this Saturday and Sunday versus Clarks and St. Lawrence, respectively. First-pitch both days is slated for 1:00 p.m.
