Baylee West scored four goals in the Tiger's 14-11 loss at Vassar (3-3, 1-0 Liberty League), Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Colette Rigas scored her 18th goal of the season with 29 seconds to play in the first quarter that cut the Vassar lead to 7-1.
- West and senior Aldyn Savage each scored twice in the second quarter as RIT outscored Vassar 4-1 in the quarter.
- Savage scored off an assist from senior McKenna Joint to cut the Vassar lead to 7-2.
- She scored again with 8:15 to play to make the score 8-3.
- West tallied her 13th goal of the season off an assist from senior Myranda D'Antico that cut the lead to 8-4, and scored her second of the quarter with nine seconds to play to make it 8-5.
- Rigas converted a free position attempt with 11:44 remaining in the third quarter that cut the lead to 8-6.
- West cut the Vassar lead to 9-7 on her goal off an assist from freshman Ella Doan.
- West scored a free position goal with 43 seconds to play in the third that cut the lead to 11-8.
- Sophomore Carrissa Hlywa scored her fourth goal of the season with 9:51 remaining in regulation that cut the Vassar lead to 13-9.
- Rigas scored off an assist from Savage with 7:40 to play to make the score 13-10.
- Savage scored with 4:26 to play off an assist from Rigas to make it a 14-11 final.
GAME NOTES
- RIT fired 34 shots, including 25 on target
- Each team won 12 draw controls, while RIT was 16-of-21 on clearing attempts
- Rigas and Savage each finished with three goals and four points.
