ERIE, Pa. – The RIT women's hockey team dropped a 7-1 decision at Mercyhurst, Saturday, in College Hockey America (CHA) play.
Mercyhurst jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first four minutes of action en route to a 5-0 first-period lead.
Following a scoreless second period, the Lakers added two more goals in the third to build a 7-0 edge.

Sophomore goaltender Sara Coe came off the bench to total 23 saves in 45:50 of work.
Bear notched her fifth assist of the season and joined junior
Nicole Ness with a team-high four blocked shots apiece.
RIT is off for the holidays before returning to action Jan. 6-7 with a trip to St. Thomas. Friday's faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. before Saturday's game starts at 8:00 p.m.
