Kobe Walker scored a game-tying power-play goal, but it was visiting Canisius earning a 2-1 OT victory in Atlantic Hockey action, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, Canisius got on the board with a power play goal with 15:15 on the second-period clock. David Melaragni cleaned up a short rebound inside the right post off a shot by Nick Bowman.
- Walker evened the score with 4:14 left in the second, collecting a loose puck in the right corner and circling into the right faceoff circle to snap a shot over Canisius goaltender Jacob Barczewski's glove.
- After a scoreless third period, the Golden Griffins found the game-winner with 20.3 left in overtime. Skating 3-on-3, Keaton Mastrodonato crossed a feed to Ryan Miotto in the left face-off circle, who beat Tiger sophomore goaltender Tommy Scarfone to the left post for the deciding goal.
GAME NOTES
- Scarfone totaled 18 saves as RIT out-shot Canisius, 36-20.
- Walker notched his team-leading fifth power play goal of the season.
- RIT killed five out of six power play attempts by Canisius, while finishing 1-for-4 on the power play.
- Tiger sophomore forward Carter Wilkie and senior defenseman Gianfranco Cassaro were credited with assists on Walker's goal. Wilkie leads the team with 18 points while Cassaro is second with 16.

RIT travels to Buffalo on Saturday for the Atlantic Hockey rematch with the Golden Griffins at the LECOM Harborcenter. Faceoff is slated for 7:05 p.m.
