Nicole Ness scored her first goal in a Tigers jersey in a 2-1 overtime loss against Lindenwood, November 19. Ness gave the Tigers the lead on her goal at 9:07 of the third period on a shot from the top of the circle. Six of the Tigers first eight games were against ranked opponents. RIT began the season with a pair of games at No. 12 UConn followed by a two-game series at No. 14 Vermont. The Tigers played at No. 4 Colgate October 14-15 and will face CHA rival No. 11 Penn State four times later in the season.
