Women's soccer wins 4-0 at St. John Fisher

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT women's soccer team featured four goal scorers in its 4-0 win at St. John Fisher, Tuesday.

Sophomore forwards Sam Halligan and Emma Schock and first year forwards Elena Onodera and Roberta Moger each scored for the Tigers.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Halligan scored in the 27th minute to give the Tigers the lead. She trapped the ball, turned and fired a shot into the corner off a Cardinals defensive miscue.
  • Schock notched her second goal of the season in the 51st minute to increase RIT's lead to 2-0.
  • Onodera scored in the 70th minute to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead. Junior midfielder Elle Hallock dribbled around a defender and sent a pass into the penalty box. Onodera headed the ball down and sent a shot past Fisher keeper, Avery Byrnes for second goal of the season.
  • Moger tallied her second goal of the campaign in the 83rd minute to give RIT a 4-0 lead.
 
GAME NOTES
  • First-year goalie Emily Sanchez made three saves to earn her first collegiate win.
  • RIT outshot St. John Fisher 13-5, including nine on net.
  • The Tigers snapped their four-game winless streak.
