ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's volleyball team split two matches, Saturday, earning a 3-2 (25-19, 17-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-11) victory over Morrisville before falling, 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 26-24) to DeSales.
RIT 3, Morrisville 2 (25-19, 17-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-11)
- Sophomore outside hitter Liv Benard totaled a match-high 17 kills to go along with nine digs.
- Sophomore outside hitter Samantha Cox added 12 kills and five assisted blocks.
- Junior setter Sydney Neff compiled 42 assists, three service aces and six digs.
- Junior libero Hailey Blixt was credited with a match-high 16 digs.
- Sophomore middle Cat Vento paired seven assisted blocks with eight kills.
DeSales 3, RIT 1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 26-24)
- Benard put down a team-high 16 kills to go along with nine digs.
- Neff added 41 assists, 15 digs and four service aces.
- Cox logged 11 kills.
- Graduate student Calista Gasper added six kills and four assisted blocks.
