Women's Soccer ties Clarkson, 0-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's soccer team tied Clarkson, 0-0 in Liberty League action, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • RIT senior goalie Darcie Jones tipped a shot from Clarkson's Lillian Gillett over the cross-bar in the 36th minute to keep the game scoreless.
  • First-year defender Neena Damodaran had a chance in the dying seconds of the first half. Sophomore forward Sam Halligan drove into the Clarkson penalty box and sent a pass to Damodaran who's shot from 5-yards out rang off the post.
  • Clarkson's Sarah Kohls had a chance from 8-yards out in the 71st minute, but her shot missed wide of the RIT net.
  • Halligan had a chance for the Tigers in the 85th minute, but her shot from 5-yards was smothered by Clarkson goalie Molly DiCaprio.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT outshot Clarkson 20-9, including nine on target.
  • The Tigers had three corner kicks.
  • Jones made four saves to earn the shutout.
