Women's Hockey loses 5-2 at No. 14 Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT – RIT senior forward Jaymee Nolan scored a a goal in the Tigers 5-2 loss at No. 14 Vermont, Saturday.
 
Sophomore defensewoman Kyla Bear scored, while graduate student Amy Dobson, first-year forward Lexi Sung, senior forward Hana Solinger and sophomore forward Kylie Aquaro each had an assist.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Nolan gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead on her goal at 9:59 of the first period on assists from Sung and Holinger.
  • Theresa Schafzahl tied the game at 1-1 on her goal 32-seconds into the second period on an assist from Corinne McCool.
  • McCool gave the Catamounts a 2-1 lead on her goal at 13:12 of the second.
  • Sara Levesque made it a two-goal advantage for Vermont with her goal at 6:38 of the third period.
  • Vermont's Maddy Skelton scored at 9:39, while McCool notched her second goal of the game at 10:02 of the third to give Vermont a 5-1 lead.
  • Bear tallied her first goal of the season at 15:05 of the third period with assists going to Dobson and Aquaro.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Vermont outshot RIT, 41-24
  • Junior goaltender Emma Stephen made 36 saves.
  • Sung recorded her first collegiate point.
