ROCHESTER, NY – Junior forward Christine Cataldo-Smith (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) (Women's Soccer) and junior defender Randy Dickersbach (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) (Men's Soccer) were named RIT Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 5, 2021.
 
Cataldo-Smith helped the Tigers to a 2-0 record last week, tallying four goals. She recorded her second career hat trick in a 4-0 win over Keuka College, scoring in the 16th, 19th and 67th minutes. She scored the lone goal in Saturday's 1-0 win at Oneonta, tallying in the 55th minute off an assist from Maddy Bullis (Hillsboro, OR/Glencoe).
 
Dickersbach helped RIT to a 2-0-1 record last week, scoring a pair of goals. Dickersbach redirected a shot into the lower right corner that deflected off a Brockport defender, tying the score at 1-1 in the 43rd minute. Dickersbach tallied his second goal off an assist from Devansh Mishra (North Potomac, MD/Thomas S. Wootton) in the 61st minute to extend RIT's lead to 3-1. He fired six shots, including two on net in a 2-2 tie against Mt. Aloysius Saturday.
