Men's soccer comes from behind to beat Vassar 2-1

ROCHESTER, NY – RIT Junior midfielder Jonathan Cohen (Newton, MA/Newton North) scored the game-winner in the 61st minute to lead the Tigers to a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Vassar Saturday. Freshman midfielder Carlos Cardona (Germantown, MD/Watkins Mills) had two assists for the Tigers.
 
How It Happened
  • Vassar's Austin Lukasik scored in the 25th minute off an assist from Eamon Geraghty to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead.
  • Junior Randy Dickersbach (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) tallied his fourth goal of the season in the 39th minute to tie the score 1-1. He scored off a header into the top-right corner. Daniel Gebura (North Olmstead, OH/North Olmstead) and Cardona had the assists on the play.
  • Cohen scored into the bottom right corner off an assist from Cardona in the 61st minute to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead.

  • RIT out-shot Vassar 13-7.
  • RIT goalkeeper Jason Trapp (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) made three saves to earn the win.
  • Eric Wnorowski made five saves in net for the Brewers.
