Men's soccer shuts out Clarkson, 2-0

ROCHESTER, NY – RIT (6-2-2, 2-0-1 Liberty League) senior Bret Kaemmerlen and junior Jonathan Cohen each scored to lead the Tigers to a 2-0 win over Clarkson (2-5-2, 0-2-0 Liberty League) Saturday.
 
How It Happened
  • Kaemmerlen scored his first goal of the season in the 45th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Patrick Kenyon sent a long ball into the Clarkson penalty area. Junior Tommy Reed headed a shot off the cross-bar and Kaemmerlen was there to smash home the rebound.
  • Cohen tallied his fourth goal of the season in the 77th minute. Longdon got behind his defender. He sent a pass to Jackson who's shot was blocked. Cohen was there to score into the open net.
 Game Notes
  • RIT out-shot Clarkson 6-4.
  • RIT goalkeeper Jason Trapp made two saves to improve to 3-2-2 on the season.
  • Bryan Benitez made two saves in net for the Golden Knights.
