CANTON, N.Y. – RIT fell twice to host St. Lawrence, Monday, 5-0 and 8-4, in Liberty League play.
GAME 1 – St. Lawrence 5, RIT 0
- St. Lawrence built a 2-0 lead with runs in the first and third innings and plated two in the fourth and one in the sixth.
- RIT finished with six hits, including a double by Brianna Bilich (Penryn, CA/Del Oro) in the seventh.
GAME 2 – St. Lawrence 8, RIT 4
- Raquel Estrada (Middletown, NY/Middletown) finished 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI while Alexis Smith (Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot) went 3-for-4.
- RIT scored two runs in each of the first two innings. Estrada knocked an RBI single down the left field line before coming around on a Saints' fielding error off the bat of Natalie Barrera (Worcester, MA/Doherty Memorial) in the first inning.
- St. Lawrence responded with a run in the bottom of the first, but RIT took a 4-1 lead in the second on a two-run double by Estrada.
- St. Lawrence made it a 4-2 game in the fourth on an RBI single by McKaily Lyndaker.
- The Saints tied the game with a pair of runs in the fifth, including an RBI single by Meredith Rose.
- St. Lawrence plated four in the sixth, including a three-run double by Tori Rotundo, to clinch the sweep.
