RIT Announces Vaccination Requirements for Hockey Games at Gene Polisseni Center

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination will be required for all fans (12 years of age and older) attending RIT men's and women's hockey games at the Gene Polisseni Center, beginning November 6^th with the women's game versus Syracuse.

All fans, including all RIT students, faculty, and staff, must be fully vaccinated for entry. Fully vaccinated means two weeks after a second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's vaccine.

Everyone will also be required to wear a mask inside the Gene Polisseni Center. Guests under 12 years of age will not be required to have a vaccination. We will continue to monitor U.S. Food and Drug Administration protocols involving children under 12, and may adjust our policies as necessary.

RIT remains committed to ensuring a safe environment for our community. We will continue to adjust our practices as new information and circumstances dictate. This includes examining other venues on campus. RIT has a higher vaccination rate than the surrounding community. We are proud to report 96 percent of students are fully vaccinated, and more than 94 percent of employees are fully vaccinated.

COVID-19 negative test results will not be accepted for entry.

To verify COVID-19 vaccination, guests age 12 and older will be required to display two items upon entry to the arena:

One of the below

Vaccination Record Card (e.g., original hard copy, photocopy, digital copy, including scanned image, PDF, or digital photograph.)
NYS Excelsior Pass
Government digital vaccine proof from outside NYS

AND

A valid photo ID matching your proof of vaccination

Ticket refunds
Refund policy: All season ticket holders will receive an email that outlines specific guidelines to request a refund for the remaining pro-rated amount of their tickets. Single-game purchasers will also be able to request refunds for any tickets purchased for games after November 6th. An email will be sent to single-game buyers with further details.

Deadline to request refunds: For both season ticket holders and single-game buyers, the deadline for informing the box office of your decision to request a refund is Friday, November 5th.
