ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT junior goaltender Taylor Liotta made 30 stops, despite visiting Union riding a pair of power-play goals to a 4-1 win Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Union scored the lone goal of the first period on its only power play by Emily King 9:45 into the contest.
- The second period saw a single tally coming from the Dutchwomen's Maren Friday on the power play with 14:02 left for a 2-0 lead.
- Union took a 3-0 lead midway through the third period before sophomore forward Emma Roland got the Tigers on the board with assists from sophomore forward Lindsay Maloney and freshman defenseman Bailey Kehl with 4:17 left in the third.
- Union added an empty-net goal in the final seconds to close out the afternoon's scoring.
GAME NOTES
- Roland's goal gave her a team-leading three.
- Kehl's assist was her second in as many days. The freshman blueliner now leads the team in assists with three.
- Maloney's assist moved her to the team lead in points with four.
- Liotta's 30 saves were a season high with one goal allowed at even-strength.
