ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's volleyball team swept visiting Nazareth, 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-16) and Medaille, 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-21) to finish the RIT Invitational 3-0, Saturday.
Coupled with Friday nights' 3-2 (18-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 15-11) win over St. John Fisher, The Tigers (20-2) extended their winning-streak to 12-straight games.
RIT, 3, Nazareth 0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-16)
- RIT senior outside hitter Taylor Higgins totaled eight kills and nine digs while senior outside hitter Katie Hobler added nine kills to pace the Tiger attack.
- Freshman setter Sydney Neff compiled 26 assists, three digs and three blocked shots (two solo) while guiding the RIT offense to a .312 hitting percentage.
RIT 3, Medaille 0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-21)
- Hobler notched a match-high 11 kills to pace the RIT attack.
- Senior middle blocker Emelia Mislan loged seven kills and a match-high five blocked shots.
- Neff chipped in 25 assists and seven digs.
- RIT held Medaille to a -.099 hitting percentage.
