PITTSBURGH, PA -- The RIT (1-8-0, 1-8-0 CHA) women's hockey team was beaten 7-0 at Robert Morris University (9-2-1, 9-2-1 CHA) in CHA action from Clearview Arena Saturday.
Shots on goal were 45-14 in favor of Robert Morris. RIT took one penalty for two minutes, while the Colonials took four penalties for eight minutes. Each team went scoreless with the extra skater.
Lexi Templeman led Robert Morris with three goals, and Marah Wagner scored twice. Arielle DeSmet got the win in net for Robert Morris, making 14 saves.
Freshman goaltender
Emma Stephen (Sherwood Park, Alberta) got the start in net for RIT, making 20 saves.
Taylor Liotta (Mississauga, Ontario/Oakville Hornets) made 18 saves in relief of Stephen.
RIT returns to action on Tuesday, February 2, when the Tigers host CHA foe Syracuse University at 4 p.m. from the Gene Polisseni Center.
