BROCKPORT, NY -- The No. 20 RIT (6-3) wrestling team defeated The College at Brockport 23-17 Wednesday evening. 

Chris Horton (Athens, PA/Athens Area) picked up a win at 133 lbs. defeating Neiko Scarano with a 13-3 major decision. After defeats at 141 and 149 lbs., Kaidon Winters (Athens, PA/Athens Area) picked win via pinfall at 157 lbs. Dempsey King (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) followed with. 10-2 major decision over Matthew Kline at 165 lbs. Benjamin Dougherty (Charlestown, RI/Chariho) made it three straight wins for the Tigers, defeating Christopher Eames, 5-3 at 174 lbs. John Donohue (Smithtown, NY/Hauppauge) was a 9-6 winner at 197 lbs., and Sam Weinger (Blooming Grove, NY/Washingtonville) clinched the win for the Tigers with a 1-0 win over Richard Knapp at 285 lbs. With the win, Weinger won his 100th match of his career.

RIT returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 5, when the Tiger host Penn Tech. and SUNY Oneonta at the Tiger Duals beginning at 12 p.m. from Clark Gymnasium.
