PITTSBURGH, Pa. – RIT sophomore forward Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario/Mississauga Jr. Chiefs) scored a late first-period goal, but it was host Robert Morris out-scoring the Tigers 4-0 the rest of the way to earn a 5-1 College Hockey America (CHA) victory, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Robert Morris opened the scoring 1:54 into the game.
- Barnett tied the game off an assist from freshman Christa Stefanopoulos (Pierrefonds, Quebec/Dawson College) with 1:43 left in the first period.
- The Colonials scored two more goals to build a 4-1 lead after two periods and tacked on a short-handed tally with 12:15 left in regulation to close the evening.
GAME NOTES
- Senior goalie Terra Lanteigne (Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia/Charles P. Allen) totaled 36 saves for her sixth-consecutive and 14th total outing with at least 30 stops.
- Barnett has a team-high eight points (3 goals, 5 assists) over the last four games.
