ANNONDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY -- The RIT (10-12, 8-7 Liberty League) women's basketball team outscored Bard College 28-9 in the fourth quarter en route to a 75-49 win over the Raptors in Liberty League action Friday evening. With the win the Tigers remain in sixth place in the Liberty League standings.
RIT shot 42.3 percent from the floor on 30-of-71 shooting. The Tigers went 6-of-18 from beyond the arc, and 9-of-10 from the foul line.
Kaleesha Joseph (Somerville, MA/Prospect Hill Academy Charter) led the Tigers with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Sabrina Wolfe (Troy, NY/Troy) finished with 20 points, while
Alyssa Juergens (Rochester, NY/Hilton) chipped in 15 points and nine rebounds.
Caleigh DeCaprio and Christina Kiser each tallied 14 points to lead the Raptors. Marissa Munsell grabbed nine rebounds for Bard who shot 40.0 percent from the floor.
The Tigers led 22-12 after the first quarter, and 28-33 at halftime. The Tigers scored 14 points in the third quarter, but exploded for 28 points in the fourth quarter for the 26-point win. RIT returns to actin on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Rensselaer at 2 p.m.
